Mental Health Week for me!
I took a brief metal health week for myself last week. Well, the 8 year old grandson spent two nights with us so it was more of an insanity time. There were water gun fights, cartoons, crafting and I lost my crafting room (hereby known as the office as named by him) so he could have some private time. Really, you’re 8, how much private time do you need?
We did do one small craft last week. I took a charm pack (5″ squares) and cut them into 4.75″ inches. I hate to waste fabric so let’s make these circles as big as possible! The yo-yos measured about 2.5″ finished size. I sewed the circles and Ollie gave me buttons I added to the center. Of course, he was gaming so when I said I need a button, he just grabbed one… So the colors are what they are for the buttons. I placed a wooden ball between each yo-yo and tied a string for hanging to the top. I got 41 yo-yos because, apparently, I had used a charm for a test block at some time.

We have named the tree in the backyard Ollie. He planted it from twigs in found in the bucket by the fire pit. The hole was dug with a garden spade. There was one small twig braced up by another. Then came the dirt and a heavy watering. By the magic of Poppa and some help from a nearby nursery, within two weeks there was a 3 foot pine tree replacing those twigs! Now the tree is about 15 feet tall! So, if you need any tree planting done, I have just the guy for you!

Redoing my floss so I know what I have … There is a lot to do.
I hope you all have taken some time to do a craft for yourself this past week. And also make some time for yourself!
Stay cool… We are under heat warning for the next week so I will be inside crafting…..
