Another side effect of CAD (Crafter’s Addiction Disease)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I have developed the symptom B <\/strong>of this affliction. I have the bouncing<\/strong> symptom. I can not concentrate on one project enough to finish anything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of course, I have tried. The worst one is tatting. I don’t know why but for some reason I think I need to tat… or at least learn to do it. Now never mind, my eyes and hands are old. My vision can get blurry and my hands can creak and crack. I need to do this. I tried to learn in the 70’s but that was before You tube. Apparently, I can’t follow written instructions well… And now there are two ways of doing tatting, needle and shuttle. Hey, let’s learn them both! (giggle)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Needle tatting is done with a long (about 6″) needle. Different thickness of the needle is for different thread size. You can tat with anything from sewing thread to yarn! Yep, I can do this… Well, it’s been two weeks. I may be ready to do a simple (beginner) project. And I have all the tools, needles in different sizes, different size threads, a basket to hold my treasures while I am work. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have watched You Tube videos every day. RustiKate is one of my favorites. And I have joined on online tatting class, The Online Tatting Class. www.theonlinetattingclass.com Tami is reworking the website so this link may not work at this time but she hopes to be done soon. She says this a a no pressure class, but she hasn’t had to deal with me yet. The classes are supposed to start in September; but with redoing the website, I will give her all the time she needs to get this going. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can also use a shuttle to tat. That is what I tried to use in the 70’s. And, Oh yes, I have gotten 3 new shuttles. I figure if I want to tat while my Hubby is driving I may want to use the shuttle instead of a needle. Hubby thinks all vehicles are big rigs and potholes are a pebble on the road. I am sure I will poke myself with that needle. My shuttles have a small hook at the end so that couldn’t go as deep into my hand as the needle. Who needs the thread from stitches while trying to tat?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have practiced with the Christmas Medallion from Handy Hands. https:\/\/www.handyhands.com<\/a> It is described as a beginner pattern. I almost had one done… I got to the last Row and screwed up. It is now in the out basket in the kitchen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And I still have my other B symptom projects: My polar bear needs one more leg, two arms and a tail.. Then stitched together, stuffed and an outfit need for him\/her. It may be if it has pants and a shirt, it’s a boy… if it a dress, it is either a girl or a guy who likes to wear girl clothes. Either way, it will be done. My Advent EPP Quilt still has 2.5 blocks to be done. Still working on my Alice Caroline’s Country Diary Quilt. The embroidery is almost done on the last last of the A series… Then on to the B series which is a larger group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do I need to take the medicine for this affliction? Necessary Adult Pause (NAP)…. no, I just need to keep moving on!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
